Type:  Adverb  (scalar)
Use:   The number of spectral channels per spectral window (IF) in a
       uv data set.
Null value:
       0 => take from data
Verbs
  BDF2AIPS.....Load selected portions of ASDMFILE to AIPS data areas.
  CURVALUE.....Displays image intensities selected via the TV cursor.
               NCHAN is misused to limit which TV memories are used.
