When data sets are combined (e.g. with DBCON) they may be assigned different subarray numbers to tell them apart. For example, when combining two configurations of the VLA. In that case, antenna N will be at different stations in the two. Another use also arises. AIPS does not allow two sources to be observed simultaneously. However, VLBI astrometry often uses some antennas for one source and some for another at one time and then different combinations of antennas on other sources at other times. This can be handled by multiple identical "subarrays" which can be written by task USUBA. Null value: 0 => all subarrays in some tasks, -> 1 in others. Only 1 subarray may be calibrated at a time unless the task is able to loop over subarray number. Check the help files to be sure.
